Some Fascinating Facts

    • I grew up in New Concord, Ohio, hometown of John Glenn. Our high school class ring had a little space capsule on it.                    

    • I own seventeen pairs of Chuck Taylors, in a variety of colors including stealth black, purple, Happy Bee yellow-and-black, glow-in-the-dark zebra striped, and leopard spot fake fur.

    • Once I had a pet snake that escaped the night before my grandmother came to visit. We never found it. Probably a good thing.

    • I've always been interested in bats and vampires.

    • I have had many collections in my day, but my worst and most memorable was the fungus collection I made with my best friend in grade school. We gathered a large assortment of toadstools and mushrooms and various other fungi, put them in a cardboard box in the bottom drawer of her dresser, and forgot about them. This was not a good idea.

    • Some of my favorite books are: The Lord of the Rings, Wuthering Heights, Winnie the Pooh, Where the Wild Things Are, The Stinky Cheese Man, Snow Crash, the Harry Potter series, and Happy Birthday to You by Dr. Suess.

    • Some of my favorite movies are: Star Wars Episodes 4 through 6, The Lord of the Rings, On the Town, and The Matrix.

    • Some of my favorite tv shows, past and present, include: The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Farscape, The Prisoner, Star Trek (the original series), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Adventures of Brisco County Junior, Lost, and Mystery Science Theater 3000. Especially when Joel was the host.
